Madonna's Superbowl Performance

Madonna rode out in a feather covered chariot among a sea of gladiators. She opened with “Vogue” and then sang, “Music” with LMFAO. Nicki Minaj and MIA ran on stage for Madge’s new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’” and then Cee Lo accompanied her for “Like A Prayer.”  The 53-year-old did cartwheels across bleachers in thigh high stiletto boots and looked impeccable throughout the 13 minute set.  That was thanks, in part, to Riccardo Tisci.
The Givenchy designer made the popstar, who was working with stylist B. Akerlund, three haute couture looks.  First was a gold cape lined with leopard chiffon and covered with crystals and studs.  Then a black mini-dress with a studded python belt and gladiator skirt (pulled off by LMFAO to turn her into a cheerleader).  Finally, she donned a hand-sequined black robe before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. (Tisci made one for Cee Lo, too.)  Madonna’s gold headpiece was made by Phillip Treacy, while Erickson Beamon can claim credit for Minaj‘s crown.  Backup dancers rocked out in Jeremy Scott for Adidas and any diamonds you saw?  Those carats were courtesy of Bulgari
